Master Sergeant <FNAME> <LNAME>
<DUTY TITLE>
<ADDRESS>
<ADDRESS>

SUBJECT: Letter of Recommendation for Staff Sergeant <FNAME> <LNAME>

To Whom It May Concern:

Staff Sergeant <FNAME> <LNAME> is a highly dedicated NCO whose drive and competence are unparalleled. Sergeant <LNAME> came to us as a technical school graduate in March 2003. In the four years I have known him, he has matured and progressed through the Airman ranks and attained NCO status, developing a professional acumen along the way that few, if any of his contemporaries have achieved. His management of the section’s hazardous materials program has been superlative; he was lauded by ACC/IG team inspectors during both the 2005 LSET visit and the 2006 UCI, and he has been requested numerous times by name to fill crucial roles on the base environmental compliance assessment team. Sergeant <LNAME> has also accumulated a long list of accolades during his tenure, to include below-the-zone selection for SrA and 2005 Accessory Flight Airman of the Year. He was also the Accessory Flight nominee for the Lt Gen Leo Marquez Award in 2006 as well as being instrumental in the Egress Section’s selection for the 2006 ACC Weapons Safety Plaque.

Staff Sergeant <FNAME> <LNAME> displays a strong power of analytical reasoning and excels in analyzing and adjusting work procedures for maximum efficiency. His ability to communicate, organize, direct, and complete any logistics function or squadron mission is exemplary, and he adapts well to any situation or working environment. Sergeant <LNAME>’s bearing and appearance are always impeccable. He establishes effective working relationships with superiors and subordinates alike, promoting dependability and honesty within his section and throughout our unit. SSgt <LNAME> exemplifies Air Force leadership skills and selfless loyalty, and substantiates his managerial talents as well as mechanical/technical qualifications. I highly recommend SSgt <LNAME> be considered for a position as a Professional Military Education instructor. He has the fortitude, knowledge, and innate ability to outperform his peers and would be an outstanding addition to the instructor corps. He is the “Tip of the Spear” and the “Best of the Best”.

                                                                                Sincerely,

                                                                                 [First M. Last], [Rank], USAF
                                                                                 [Unit]
